[1] Joseph James PENDARVIS worked for two saw mills- Dantzier Lumber Company & Rogers Sawmill, both of Jackson Co.,MS. He also had a farm and sold pecans to Sears, Chicago, IL.
[OBIT] Joseph James PENDARVIS: age 72 years, died at his home in Escatawpa, MS on Tuesday afternoon, January 9, 1939 after an illness of some months. Deceased had been in the employ of Dantzier Lumber Company for a number of years, until the past two or three years, since which time he has been practically an invalid. He was a member of the Baptist church. He is survived by his widow: Molly JONES PENDARVIS. Married in 1895 in Escatawpa, MS. Funeral will be held at 2:00 o'clock Friday afternoon, from the late home of deceased.
