Sublett Cemetery

From Denton, take US 380 East to FR 720 Exit; turn right on FR 720 for 7.9 miles (you will go through the town of Little Elm); after you have gone 7.9 miles turn right on Kings Road and follow this road for 2.0 miles and the cemetery is on the right.

Little history is known about burials in Sublett Cemetery. Eight grave sites were found and moved by the Corps of Engineers in 1953 when Lake Lewisville was enlarged. Information on this cemetery is from files of the Corps of Engineers. The cemetery was moved to Little Elm Cemetery in Little Elm, Texas along with three other abandoned cemeteries. The existing Little Elm Cemetery was at the present location with the exception of graves moved from lower part of the cemetery to a higher location. Burials from the Sublett Cemetery are located at the north end of Little Elm Cemetery.

Note: The other seven graves were not identified by name.
