Moved w/Alberta from OH to WY in Sept. 1909;
Homesteaded 3 miles South of Gillette, Campbell Co, WY;
Dray Business; Clerked in Local Stores;
Served as Gillette City Marshall for 6 years;
Campbell County, Gillette, Wyoming Mayor: 1934-1936;
Served as County Blade Operator until his retirement in 1951.
Wyoma Evelyn Sutherland HIBLER:
She was the daughter of Alberta's sister and informally adopted by
Alberta and Emery when she was about 6 months old.  Neither Emery nor
Alberta ever had more children.  Evelyn's twin brother is Waldo Emerson
(Buddy) SUTHERLAND Jr., b. 18 Jan 1914.  Her birth parents are Waldo
Emerson SUTHERLAND Sr., b. 18 Apr. 1873 and Eva Jane LUDWICK, b. <1877>.
The two families (SUTHERLAND'S AND HIBLER'S) both raised their children
together in Gillette, WY.
Evelyn graduated from Gillette High School in 1932.
Evelyn was 1st married to John Ellis EYRE Jr.;
b. 10 or 17 Oct 1910
d. 28 May 1940
Evelyn met her 2nd husband, Harry Melvin GOERKE, at a party.  Harry was a
friend of Evelyn's twin brother Waldo.
Harry Melvin GOERKE:
Moved from Kansas in 1913 to homestead north of Gillette, WY.
Graduated from school in Buffalo, WY.
Harry joined the Army just one day after marrying Evelyn; after his
discharge in 1946 he moved his family to Houston, ID.
Harry and Evelyn are my Paternal Grandparents.
