Sandhofer got their emigration Passports immediately, Michael Hackstock
took the papers April 5, 1855. The 4 families were from Purbach and their
families intermarried for about 100+ yrs.    1860 U. S. Census of Maple
Grove Township, Manitowoc County, Wisconsin, page 133 lists the
following:  Paul Sandhofer, age 54, farmer, r.e. value $500, pers. prop.
$200, b. Austria;
Hannah Sandhofer, age 46, b. Austria; Frederic (sic) Sandhofer, age 10,
b. Austria; Mary Sandhofer, age 6, b. Austria.  10Oct1864, Declaration of
Intent to become US Citizen, filed in Manitowoc Co., WI.
