!Death: John Stewart died of yellow fever contracted at Cumberland, MD on
a trip to buy supplies (Butcher, History of the Upper Monongahela, vol.
2).  Mary Robe's Birth: in Robe Family History recorded by William Robe's
great-granddaughter Sarah Robe (David Robe's granddaughter) in the
"Descendants of Mary Elizabeth Currey Barker and John Baldwin," comp. by
Carey Ross Alexander, 94 Grange Hall Road, Dayton, OH 45430 (513) 426-
3614. Salt Lake FHLC film #1035723, item 3. For brevity's sake I refer to
this as the Currey-Barker-Baldwin Genealogy.
!Marriage: noted in biographical sketch of David B. Stewart, in
Callahan's History of the Upper Monongahela Valley, vol. 2, that John

granddaughter of William Robe, granddaughter of David) in the Currey-
Barker-Baldwin genealogy: "Mary married William [sic] Stewart, they
raised a large family. She was found hung by the neck with a skein of
yarn. It was never known whether she hung herself or was hung by some
other person. She was not known to be insane and bore a good character,
she died about the year 1810."
