Notes:
* The ages seems right on, in these web pages. Also I found information of a John P. FOUNTAIN in MO. John P. FOUNTAIN on these web pages:
http://www.us-census.org/pub/usgenweb/census/mo/lewis/1860/pg00129.txt
* I found Mattie Parker and J. P Fountain in Lewis. Also I found these web pages with FOUNTAIN, J P & FOUNTAIN, Martha E; on this web page:
http://www.us-census.org/pub/usgenweb/census/mo/lewis/1870/pg0767a.txt
* The names and dates were also in the family bible that my Aunt passed on to her daughter.
* I also have a census copy, for some county and I think Mom said to see if the information was in the county of Jasper or Joplin county, so the information might be from that county. The copy is not that nice.
* I was told that, The Di La Fountaine family left France, and when in the U. S. change their name to Fountain. I'm not sure how the Di La part of the last name was spelled. I did find someone with the last name of Fountaine or Fountain in a Art history book, and they called him a Prince of France. I think that when Dad was talking, to his cousin one time, they talked about our family being Royalty. I was very young when I listened to Dad talk to Fish his cousin. Sounds like a fair tale to me. I like writing, so I will maybe create my own story up form my notes and the facts I find.
* The places I was told to look in by my Mom were Chicago, Il; Joplin, Mo; Billings, Mo; WY, Seattle Washington.
* The date in the web pages tells me to search some place else.
* I look at the data, on the web pages of the census; for every individuals last name in the files close to my family. Sometimes ranch hands married into families back then and also a sister in law might have a different name. I think I found one sister-in-law.
