Notes:
* After John Robert Freeman was born, Sarah Francis married Franklin Thomas DeBord and they had several children, some born in Virginia and some in Missouri. He lived with Ann Rouse, probably his maternal grandmother. John Robert came to Monroe County when he was 21. He worked for several people in Monroe county, before moving to Shelby County, where Lucy died. He moved to Iowa in 1930 and for the last severl years of his life lived with first one of his sons then the other.
* Henry Vaughn Freeman has two surviving children, both in Iowa.
* William Freeman had three sons, Russell, Harold and Marwyn, all deceased.
