County, Missouri.
Dake Reed was mentioned in a letter written by George Joy in 1853. All
the people mentioned by George Joy, in one section of the letter, were
family. So a mentioned of Dake Reed and his three kids means he was part
of George Joy's family.
In Martha Joy's widows benefits section of, George Joy's War of 1812
pension file is an affidavit stating that B. F. Reed, a son of William
Daken Reed is a grandson of Martha Joy.
Also in an E-mail message from Joy Hobbs is a statement from (......)
stating that Elizabeth Joy died after giving birth to her 3rd child.
William Daken Reed is listed on the 1850 census with his three children,
the third age 2.
William D. Reed married a second time to Louisa J. and had other
children. Benjamin F. REED and wife Julia W. are listed on the 1880
census of McCullough Co, TX.
