Rec in Milam Co" by Perry C. Holder, Pg 249 NOTES: The Magill family reached Milam Co, TX and bought land there in 1870 after William served in the 21st Brigade in Cooke Co, TX. They had originally moved from Ohio and had lived in Kansas Territory before moving to Cooke Co, TX. They raised an orphaned infant from Kansas named Leonidius Pete Wilson as their own child. The area in which he settled became known as the town or settlement of "Magill". There are still descendents living on that property today.
