(1) 27 June 1860 Census Hunt County,(Tidwell Creek) TX.
(2) David W. Sr, Matt, his brother and Sarah S. DENNIS Waters are buried at McWright Cemetery.
(3) I have a micro-copy No. M-227 Roll 38 from the National Archives & Records Service --General Services Administration Washington. Obtained from the Clayton Library in Houston, Texas.His reference Card David W. Sr. entered the Confederate service under the name of Worthy WATERS then had the name changed to D. W. Waters. He served in Company H, 11 Texas Cavalry under Col. William C. Young. One of the officers he served under was Charles H. Featherston.
(4)1880 census for Hunt County, Texas had a cousin, Mattie Waters, age 20, also living in the household. Her father was born in Georgia, her mother in Texas.
(5) David Sr., Matt and their Mother have a four sided monument about 5 feet tall at McWright Cemetery in Hunt County, TX. One side for each of the three with the dedication on the fourth side.
(6) From the Probate record of David C. Waters in Jackson County Arkansas 1843. I found most of David Worthy's siblings were born in Arkansas, with the two or three oldest sons born in Georgia.
(7) 1880 Census taken 10 & 11 June Prect #3 Hunt County, Texas (White Rock).
(8) 1900 Census Pct. 2 Celeste Town (Kingston) Hunt Co. TX we find David W. Jr.
(9) 1920 He is in Dennison, Grayson, Texas Ward #1 Pct #2 working as Gear shoreman H-T-C (railroad?).
(16) Lanora is buried in Forest Park Cemetery, Greenville, Texas #105.
(17) in the 1920 census she is in Greenville, Hunt County, Texas pct. 1.
(18) Stephen Young Waters died in the VA Hospital in Legion, Kerr County with Respitory problems.
(19) He served in the Spanish American War. He was an undertaker in the 1900 census. Also he is buried in Hopewell Cemetery, Swan, Smith County, Texas.
(20-21) I have the original marriage certificate for Daniel Oscar WATERS and Maggie Glen ALDERSON. Maggie was also born in Hunt County, Texas. They were married in Hunt County Texas. Maggie died in an car accident in 1946 near Dalhart, TX. They are buried in Clayton Memorial South, Cemetery, Clayton, NM. They appear in the 1910 Census in Clayton, Union County, New Mexico. In the 1920 census they are in Adobe, Union County, New Mexico Pct 40. Daniel was a farmer, Deputy Sheriff, and Probate Judge after moving to New Mexico. Their children went to the School in Seneca, Union County, New Mexico.
(22) Arthur Edwin & wife are also buried in McWright Cemetery, near Greenville, Texas. The family called Arthur "Ott".He and wife appear in the 1920 Greenville, Hunt County, TX pct. 1.
(23) Earl was a business man in Denison, Texas and raised his family there. He is buried in Fairview Cemetery, Denison, TX.
(24) Uhlon was the youngest in the family and died in 1908 from Ruptured Appendix. My father was born a month after his death and he was named after Uhlon, by Dan & Maggie.
(25) Lucinda "Lou", Mother and Son Uhlon, share a tombstone, which is also in McWright Cemetery, Hunt County, Texas.
