I don't know if he is Joseph's son. There are two Herberts buried at Oakwood with different death dates. I'm not sure which is which. It's possible that these are two different men. One is listed as a vet, dying in 1910 and the other was born in 1890 and died in 1918. The girls' death records give both the last name of Johnson but show these parents. Whether he died in 1910 or 1918, the girls may have taken a stepfather's name or they may have married the same man since Emma died so early.
