I don't know if he is Joseph's son. There are two Herberts buried at Oakwood with different death dates. I'm not sure which is which. It's possible that these are two different men. One is listed as a vet, dying in 1910 and the other was born in 1890 and died in 1918. I'm pretty sure this Alice is the granddaughter enumerated with Joseph on the 1900 Census in McLennan County. Her death certificate lists these parents' names.
