Documentation:
* William Henry Todd was born in North Carolina. He is listed on the 1850, 1860, and 1870 census records in Tennessee.
* He was a Civil War Veteran, likely in Company G of the Tennessee 15th Cavalry Regiment (Stewart's).
* The family remembers his being in Bell County in the late 1870's. By 1880 he is listed on the census in Ellis County, Texas. He was a farmer and postmaster in Rice. He died during a visit to Hardeman County, Tennessee and is buried there. His wife is buried in Rice Cemetery, Navarro County, Texas.
