They were living in Ohio in 1876. They appeared on the Kerr county, TX census in 1880 and John Wesley SNIDER was listed as a farmer. In 1893 and 1894, Charles Edward was listed in the San Antonio, TX city directory. In 1894, Charles was working for the Globe as a clerk. Charles married a CROCKET. Their son, J. Crocket SNIDER, attended West Point. I have signed pictures of J. Crocket in two of his uniforms. I also have pictures of J. Crocket as a child and of Charle’s sister Etta SNIDER SWAIM taken in San Antonio. Mrs. CROCKET-SNIDER was a china painter and I have 2 cups and a saucer painted by her for my grandfather, Louis SWAIM, who was Etta’s son.
