Joseph Oscar Smith was buried on the day that Martha Maude Baldree and Stacy Alexander Smith married. They came from west Texas (Slaton, Lubbock Co.) on the train to Marlin, but arrived too late for the funeral. My grandmother, Mary Sue Smith Towers was called "Mae Sue".
