Documentation:
* This family was living in Indiana in 1875. They were living in Ohio in 1876. They appeared on the Kerr county, TX census in 1880 and John Wesley SNIDER was listed as a farmer.
* In 1893 and 1894, Charles Edward was listed in the San Antonio, TX city directory. In 1894, Charles was working for the Globe as a clerk. Charles married a CROCKET. Their son, J. Crocket SNIDER, attended West Point. I have signed pictures of J. Crocket in two of his uniforms. I also have pictures of J. Crocket as a child and of Charles's sister Etta SNIDER SWAIM taken in San Antonio.
* Mrs. CROCKET-SNIDER was a china painter and I have 2 cups and a saucer painted by her for my grandfather, Louis SWAIM, who was Etta's son.
