Documentation:
* 1st child Mary J. was on 1860 census as age 4 last heard about her guessing she died.
* 2nd child Major H. That was his name not a rank guessing the "H" was for Hardin(g) his mother's maiden name. The family story goes that he ran with the DALTON GANG and was killed in a gun fight in another state (have not found proof of that yet).
* 3rd child James R."Jim" was in the Yuma Prison Az. in 1892 for assult with a deadly weapon for one year. (I have a copy of the court record.) He came back to Dallas, Texas and was a Dep. Sheriff in 1902 according to the City Directory. He had several types of jobs during his life.
* 4th child John W. "Jack" (guessing the "W" was for Wesley because his sister Ina named her son John Wesley I believe after him). "Jack" was a professional card player and was said to dress the part. He was shot in the back on his way home from a game and died.
* 5th child Ina Belle LOW was my great grandmother, she had nine children. Her oldest son (the fourth born) John Wesley was the first Dallas boy that was killed in action in WWI making her the first "Gold Star Mother" in Dallas.
