Samuel Patton’s second wife, Cornelia (unknown maiden name), died at or near 
the time of the birth of her daughter, also called Cornelia, in 1892, in TX. 
There were no other children of this marriage, so Cornelia (PATTON) MCFARREN 
was raised like an only child by her stepmother, Martha, and father, Samuel, 
though she spoke of at least one half-brother. 

Samuel E. PATTON married Martha A.(unknown surname) about 1893, and, moved to 
AR, between 1892 and 1900. 

Samuel E. PATTON was married 3 times. Cornelia mentioned a half brother, who 
was killed in a RR accident by a dynamite explosion, location unknown.
