* William and Alice appear together in 1900 census. It states they have been married 10 years with 5 children. Since William was in Indiana (birth and marriage records as source) in the mid to late 1880's, oldest child Raymond was either a formal or informal adoption. No record yet found of previous marriage of Alice or birth of Raymond. However, Alice states in census she had 5 live births and 5 living. This would include Raymond as being her son. Four other children born after 1900 when married to William.
* Have census of Wm. 1870 & 1880 with parents in Kentucky. Record of Marriage to first wife in Kentucky, Knox County in 1885 and birth of two dghtrs. One born 1886 who died at birth and one born 1888. Daughter that was born in 1888 is listed in censuses of 1900 & 1910 living with grandparents Pollman in Kentucky. No further census records of William after 1900.
* Have census records of Alice in 1880 in Thurber Texas with parents, 1900 married to William in Thurber Texas, 1920 divorced and living with youngest sister in Seattle Washington and 1930 re-married to Horace CHAPIN in Washington.
* Have obituary of William in Washington. No record of Alice's death or burial but family says she died in the 1940's in Washington.
