Documentation: Notes on George Mifflin Dallas Luker was taken from \"The Luker
Families\" (Facts, Myths, Tales, Family Lore and Traditions) on Page 81. \"
G.M.D.Luker was a Veteran of the \"War Between the States\" having fought for
the Confederacy as a Private in Co., \"B\" 1st Miss. Partz and appeared on an
Army Report of casualties in the engagement at Colliersville, Nov. 3,1863 -
\"Nature of wound: Severe- in lung.\" Report dated: Oxford, Miss, Nov, 16, 1863.
(Ref Series 1 Vol 31, part 1, page 247 MS Archieves.) George was in the same
Company as his Uncle Leroy Luker, and cousin James Robert Luker. It is said a
silk handkerchief was pulled through the wound to cleanse it. Recorded here by
