Nancy, apparently, moved to Texas to live with her son, Caleb, and his family who relocated from Arkansas to Henderson County, Texas shortly after 1860. It would appear that she gave up her grandchildren (children of Henry L.) who were living with her in Ouachita County, Arkansas at the time of the 1860 United States Census to her daughter, Lydia Lightfoot Jaynes, and these children (Nancy Caroline, John Wesley, Martha and George Washington) were reared by Lydia and her husband, Isom Jaynes. Nancy died on November 15,1880 and was buried in the Lightfoot Cemetery in southern Henderson County.
