Wimbray to Oct 14, 1861. "Remarks: Died at Little Rock, ARK March 15, 1862" The regiment left Clarksville, TX on 12 Feb 1862, marching 220 miles to Little Rock, ARK where it arrived on 27 Feb to join the Trans-Mississippi Departmnet commanded by Maj. Gen. Earl Van Dorn, who assumed command on Jan 29. There was a major battle at Pea Ridge on March 7-8 in which Leroy was probably wounded, dying a week later.
