* I have a letter from my Grandmother Lucy Martin Leslie written in 1962, saying her "father Thomas Goodier brought his mother and [my mother] Elizabeth MARTIN over to Amercia, and all three died here, and buried in Longview, Texas. Baby Boy Charles Herbert Died a few weeks old." I understand they all four died of the Yellow Fever in 1900. The father took the three girls to Marshell, Texas, to the Catholic Church bording Home. I found them in the census. My Grandmother said her mother had a sister Charlotte, a Mrs Harry Heap who lived in England, and they kept in touch until the first World War, then lost touch.
