Geo. F. Carver dies in Austin
-George F. Carver, 85, died at 3:10 p.m. in Austin hospital after an illness of several months and funeral services were held at 11a.m. Friday at the Phillips and Luckey Chapel in Rockdale with burial in the I00F Cemetery. The officiating minester was the Rev. Allison Joyce, pastor of the first Baptist Church. Mr.Carver was a resident of the Sand Grove Community in the Milam County and was born on March 29, 1881, in the Milam County. He worked in the coal mines for many years. He was a member of the Baptist Church of Gause. His wife, who proceeded him in death, was the former Miss Lula Driggers. Surviving are four sons, Harvey Carver of Rockdale, James, Leroy, and Earl Carver all of Houston, two daughters, Mrs. Johnnie Everett and Mrs. Stella Ramsey, both of Houston, two brothers, Andrew Carver of Abilene and Dan Carver of Gause.

-George F. Carver, 85, of Rockdale, died Wednesday in Austin Hospital. Funeral will be 11a.m. Friday at Phillips and Luckey Funeral Home, the Rev. Allison Joyce officicating. Burial will be in the IOOF Cemetery. Surviving are four sons, Harvey Carver of Rockdale, James Carver, Leroy Carver, and Earl Carver, all of Houston; two daughters, Mrs. Johnny Everett and Mrs. Stella Ramsey, both of Houston; and two brothers, Andrew Carver of Abilene and Dan Carver fo Gause.

Carver-Mrs. Lula Carver, 65 of 7315 Abilene, died at 8:30 am Thursday. Survivors; husband, G. F. Carver, Rockdale, four sons; James, Earl, LeRoy, all of Houston, Harvey F. Carver, Rockdale; three daughters, Mrs Josephine Edmunson, San Antonio; two sisters; Mrs Maggie Hillon, Rockdale, Mrs. Bessie Henson, Marquette, 15 grandchildren. Arrangements to be announced. Earthman Funeral Homes (The two daughters not named were Mrs. Johnnie Everett and Stella Ramsey both of Houston.)
* Funeral services for Harvey Carver, 85, were held at 2 p.m. Monday, June 29, in the Phillips and Luckey Chapel with burial in I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Rev. Charles Cox of First Christian Church officiated.
Mr. Carver died Saturday afternoon, June 27, in Richards Memorial Hospital. He had been in failing health since January. He was a lifelong resident of Rockdale. He was born Nov. 8, 1906, in Rockdale to Mr. and Mrs. George (Lula Driggers) Carver. He was an auto mechanic, retiring from Gaither Motor Co. on August, 1971.
Mr. Carver and Willard (Clymore) Davenport were married Dec. 16, 1952, at the First Christian Church parsonage in Rockdale.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, two sisters, and a step-son. Survivors include his wife, Willard Carver of Rockdale; two step-sons, Charles Eugene Davenport of Katy and Larry Wayne Davenport of Salinas, California; a step-daughter, Wilma Jean Fritz of Montgomery; a brother, James Carver of Abilene; a sister, Stella Hutto of Houston; also, eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Graham Young, Babe Baker, Gary Walker, Clifford Bartlett, Gene Kornegay and Guy Pruett.
Honorary pallbearers were Veterans of Foreign Wars members Marvin Hall, D. C. Knott, Edell Kirchenwitz, J. D. Caffey, James E. Luckey, Barnie Henderson, Clarence T. Krenek, Otha R. Lumpkins and Monroe Mortimer.
Mr. Carver was a member of First Christian Church, Disabled American Veterans and Veterans of Foreign Wars. He served in the U. S. Army during World War II, receiving the Purple Heart for action in the European Theatre of Operations. Phillips & Luckey-Rockdale.

* Heart Attack Fatal To R. E. Edmonson
EDINBURG - Richard E. Edmondson, 47, superintendent of transportation for the Valley Transit Co. here, died suddenly at work Wednesday afternoon of a heart attack.
A native of Chico, he had lived in Edinburg for the past five years. He had been an employee of the local bus company since it was organized in 1942, starting as a driver.
He is survived by his wife, two sons, B. J. of Corpus Christi and R. E., a student at Texas Tech in Lubbock.
The body will be taken to Corpus Christi this afternoon by Skinner Mortuary for funeral services and burial there Friday afternoon.

Graveside services for Joyce Cody Carver, 81, of Cleveland, were June 24, in Holly Grove Cemetery, Rye. Mrs. Carver died June 21, 1995. She was born August 23, 1913 in Milam County, TX. She is survived by her husband James Carver; sons Bo Cook and Donald Cook; step-sons Clarence Carver and David Carver; step-daughters Dorothy Howell and Ruthie Blackwell; and two grandchildren. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home, Cleveland.

Gravesite services for Frank E. Everett, 75, of Byran will be at 1 pm today at Rest-Ever Memorial Park in Byran. Monsignor John Malinowski of St. Anthony's Catholic Church will officiate. Arrangements are by Memorial Funeral Chapel in Byran. Mr. Everett died Thursday night in Houston after a long illness. (Cancer) He was born in Franklin, moved to Byran in 1975 and retired after 17 years as a self-employed carpenter. Mr. Everett was a member of the Knights of Columbus and St. Anthony's Church. He served in the US Army during WWII. Survivors include his wife Rose Everett of Byran, two sons; Billie Joe Everett of Arlington and Frank Everett Jr. of Conroe, four daughters; Doris Waldtrip of the Woodlands, Jean Wiggins of Houston, Alice Brown of Magnolia and Linda Mills of Pasadena, his brothers Otis Everett of Livingston; two sisters, Nora Jane Reeves and Stella Mae Langston, both of Pasadena; 20 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.

She was born 13 May 1928 Mentz, TX and died 30 Dec. 1996 Houston. She was buried 1 Jan. 1997 in the Bellville Mausoleum in Oak Knoll Cemetery, Bellville, TX. Her father was Henry Mosmeyer and her mother Mary Frazier Mosmeyer. She married Earl Carver 25 Mar. 1947 in Houston. They have daughters Nancy Slater of Bellville and Judy Kaliszewski and husband Bill of Bellville. Their sons: Melvin Carver of Friendswood and Gary Carver of Bellville. Her sisters are Minnie Mosmeyer of Austin and Madeline Elliott of Bernardo, brother: Weldon Mosmeyer of Canyon Lake; and a deceased brother Robert Mosmeyer.

Carl Ramsey, 40, of 7202 Palestine died at his home at 4 a.m. Saturday. He had lived in Houston five years. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Stella Ramsey of Houston, four sisters; Mrs. S.C. Elege of Houston, Mrs. W.W. Brieten of Hondo, Mrs. Oscar Pierce of Easterly, and Miss Katie Mae Ramsey of Dickinson.
