Documentation: Rev. John Wesley Bowden wrote his autobiography in 1925 and had it published in Meridian, Texas. He had very little personal information in this book. It was mainly about his career as a Methodist minister. He married 2nd to Mrs. Emma Green Trawick Taylor, a widow with two children, on 12 Aug 1886 on 12 August 1886 in Brown County, Texas Book A page 270. William Perry Gillum on 08 January 1866 Book D page 112 Pope County, Arkansas. Ann E. Brooks of Dallas, Texas wrote an article for Volume II of Pope County History on this family. He was a circuit riding Baptist preacher. Allen Grundy Bowden married 2nd to Margaret E. Roberts on 07 February 1875 Book A page 140 in Conway County, Arknasas. He married 3rd to Clara Louise Fain possibly in Illinois or Texas. Do not have this date. Wiley Franklin Bowden's widow remarried to Azariah CHRONISTER on 03 September 1854 in Pope County, Arkansas Book B page 96. Azariah may be the A. Chronister who is buried in Suggs Cemetery in Pope County, Arkansas. It is possible that Susannah may also be here in an unmarked grave.
