Documentation: Informatin from census records, birth certificate of
daughter Martha. Marriage records for William & Martha and their daughter
Martha are on file in Lee Co.  Daughter Martha's birth record is on file
in Lee Co.
I believe William's first wife, Alafair, and his second wife Martha to be
sisters.  On the 1850 Washington Co., Georgia census Alafair and Martha
are both listed in the household of Robert Tennille as daughters.  Martha
was first married to a Jesse Massey.
In the 1870 Sandersville, Washington Co., Georgia census, Martha L.
Massey is listed with the Jessee Pound family as sister-in-law and is
widowed.  The wife of Jessee Pound is listed as Mary E. who would be
Martha's older sister.  Jessee Pound's occupation in 1870 is listed as
Sheriff.
On the 1880 Lee Co. census Martha is already married to William.
After the death of William she remarried to Joshua Harper Kennerly on
April 13, 1886 in Lee Co. They are on the 1900 Lee Co. census and her
daughter by William is living with them.
Martha is also buried in the Gidding City Cemetery
