Delia [EPPS] was her husband's 1st cousin being the daughter of Joshua Epps and Murraney [English] as identified in family records and the 1870, 1880, 1900 census. William English Anderson also stated in his 1893 interview that he and his wife were 2nd cousins and that he had been named for his wife's father, William English. Additionally, he named his mother in law Myra [Anderson] English's parents as his uncle Wyatt Anderson and Nancy [McFadden].
