1. THIS FAMILY GROUP SHEET HAS BEEN RESEARCHED BY KAY LUNDELL. It WAS CREATED
WITH THE INFORMATION FROM THE 1810, 1820, 1830 CENSUS OF TENNESSEE AND THE 1840
AND 1850 CENSUS OF MISSOURI. Also used is the Marriage listing of Gibson
County, Tennessee.
The children were calculated from the numbers in the household each year,
taking into consideration the ten year age increase and new births. The
marriage Record of Gibson County, Tennessee has also been used. The place of
birth for each child was derived from the known moves that Patterson made.
Nancy remarried and went to Rvies County (now Cedar Co.) Missouri. In the 1840
Census there is 5 daughters and two sons living in the household of William
Webb in Rives Co., Now Cedar Co. Missouri. Some of these may be William Webb's
children but it is thought that most of them may be Patterson's and Nancy's
because of the large household in 1830.
On the same page in the 1840 census is listed several of the married children.
The 1850 Census for William and Nancy Webb give the names of the last two
children.

2. According to Goodspeed's History of Lawrence County, Tennessee, David
Crockett and Patterson Crockett were among the first settlers on the Middle
Fork in Lawrence County. David and Patterson were on an 1818 voter list in
Lawrence County. Patterson and Davy Crockett lived near each other in Giles
County
(information from Tamara H. McAnally e-mailed to Joy Bland)

3. Patterson Crockett is also in the Giles County, Tennessee County Court
Record of May 1821 with a judgement against John Gray.(976.867p23w.1)
1823 Patterson was an overseer on a road in Gibson County in 1823 with
references in Gibson County bonding him and Davy to survey roads.

5. PATTERSON'S MOVES AFTER HE LEFT CHRISTIAN COUNTY, KENTUCKY, SEEM TO PARALLEL
DAVY CROCKETT'S. DAVY AND PATTERSON CROCKETT WERE EARLY SETTLERS IN LAWRENCE
COUNTY, THERE WERE IN GILES COUNTY IN ABOUT 1818; LATER, DAVY AND PATTERSON
MOVED TO GIBSON COUNTY. PATTERSON CROCKETT HAD LAND ADJOINING DAVY CROCKETT IN
GIBSON COUNTY. IN THE LATE 1820'S AND 1820'S, DAVY MAINTAINED HOMES IN GIBSON
AND WEAKLEY COUNTIES. PATTERSON MAY HAVE BEEN NAMED JAMES PATTERSON CROCKETT.

6. 1834 - Will of Patterson Crockett, page 39 in bond and will book 1833-1841
of Gibson County Courthouse: dated September, 1831. Nancy Crockett appointed
exceptive...give to my beloved wife, Nancy Crockett, during her life and at her
death my will is that the whole of my estate or so much thereof or shall be on
hand at her death be equally divided amongest all my children...witnesses:
William Stone, As___Stone. SOURCE:(Roots Web's World Connect Project: Relatives
of Franklin Richard Adams) NOTE: the children were not named in the will.

7. Kentucky Land Grants show John Crockett obtaining a land grant in Christian
Co., Kentucky, July 30, 1803. It is felt that his helps tie Patterson into the
John Crockett family according to the 1810 census, he is the only Crockett
there. It is felt that he took charge or acquired his father's land grant. It
does not appear that John Crockett himself was in Christian Co. this is where
Patterson is married to Nancy Gray in 1809.

8. 1834 - Patterson died. After Patterson's death, Nancy married William Webb
in Gibson County and then moved to Stoddard Co., Missouri and on to Rives (now
Cedar) County, Missouri by 1840.
