Colbert of Roaring Spring, died at him home last night at 11:45 o'clock after an exteneded illness. He was born at Johnstown, 10/11/1905 a son of Webster and Eugenie (Smouse) Colbert, and was married to Jane Feather 8/28/1924, in Altoona by Reb. Jacob Kinsel. Surviving are his wife, 2 daughter, Mrs. Vilet Grant and Mrs. Furley Johnson of Johnstown; 2 sons, Dennis, at home, and Charles E. of Henrietta; 8 grandchildren, his mother, of Martinsburg; 2 brothers, Homer and Edgar of Johnstown, and 2 sisters, Mrs. Viola Knuppenberg of Duncansville and Mrs. Helen Riley of Roaring Spring. Mr. Colbert was a member of the Albright Church of the Brethren since 1929. Friends will be received at the home after 7 o'clock this evening. OBITUARY Hettie Jane Colbert, 75, of 221 Cherry St., Roaring Spring, died at 6:45 a.m. Friday, March 27, 1981, in Dubois Nursing Home. She was born 2/19/1906, in Roaring Spring, the daughter of Charles and Catherine (Burket) Feather, and 8/28/1924, married Charles W. Colbert, who died 11/11/1952. Surviving are these children: Charles E. of Henrietta, Mrs. Furley Johnson of Huntingdon Beach, CA, and Dennis L. of Littleton, CO, 18 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and a brother, Homer of Altoona. A daughter, Mrs. Violet E. Grant died 1/21/1981. Mrs. Colbert was a member of the Albright Church of the Brethren, Roaring Spring. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today in the J. Gary Thompson Funeral Home, Roaring Spring. Interment in Albright Cemetery .
