Documentation: Howard CLARK's 2nd wife was Emaline Rachel KRALL. Information compiled 
from family history and notes, Census information, and records from Riverview Cemetery 
in Northumberland. 1860 census has David and Mary Jane living in Point Twp., 
Northumberland County (Series M653 Roll 1149 page 479) starting at line 24, Dwelling 
7 Family 7, David Clark male 34yrs Laborer born in PA; Mary Jane female 33yrs born in 
PA; Thomas male 11yrs deaf & dumb; Newton male 9yrs attended school in past year; Duval 
male 5yrs; Labella female 2yrs; infant male 1/6. I have a paper transcribed by my 
grandfathers cousin from the Philadelphia School for the Deaf that states Thomas Clark, 
born 11 Jan 1849, Parents David & Mary Jane Clark, brothers: Newton, Duval, sister: 
(looks like) Sabilla, admitted to P. S. D. 28 Sept 1863. With notes saying that Mr. 
Clark is a soldier in the army in 1863; (Thomas) lost hearing at 5 1/2 years from 
scarlet fever; correspond with Mr. J.(?) C. Horton, Northumberland, address 
Northumberland, Penna.; Married Martha Ann KLINE. Signed by (Mrs.) E. Manser Enrollment 
Secretary. The 1870 census has David in Northumberland Borough, Northumberland County, 
PA (Series M593 Roll 1385 page 386) starting on line 21 Dwelling 213 Family 220 Clark, 
David male 44 Laborer; Mary J female 43 keeping house; Thomas male 21 ?Apprentice in N. 
Factory? deaf & dumb; Duval male 15 ?apprentice in R. Mill? attended school in past 
year; (looks like Isabella could just be a fancy L which makes the name) Labella female 
13 at home attended school in past year; Howard male 5 at home. The 1880 census has 
David in Northumberland Borough, Northumberland County, PA (Series T9 Roll 1164 page 
376) starting at line 1 Dwelling 296 Family 297 Clark, David male 54 Laborer parents 
both born in PA; Mary J female 53 wife keeping house can\'t read parents both born in 
PA; Howard male 14 son at home attended school in past year; Harriet E female 9 daughter 
at home attended school in past year.
