Notes:  Bill Goin was born at in a soddy or dugout near Okmulgee .  He left
school before sixth grade and grew up working in the oilfields. During World War
II, the family relocated to Richmond , California .  Bill worked at a shipyard,
building partitions in liberty ships.  Irene worked in a California munitions
plant, packing hand grenades.  They returned to Okmulgee after the war ended,
and Bill became a carpenter, cabinet maker, and building contractor.  He built
many of the houses on the same block as his last home, 1431 East Fourth Street ,
Okmulgee .  The Goin family belonged to Butler Memorial Methodist Church,
Okmulgee.
