Note--
Family history says that after the death of Phebe Orahood in 1839 in
Union Co., Ohio, Caleb Sr., Caleb Jr. along with his wife and children,
and others went to Coles Co., Illinois. Both Caleb Sr. and Caleb Jr. most
likely died in Illinois. Caleb Jr. appears in a tax list there in 1842.
Caleb Jr.'s wife Elizabeth "Betsy" Shirk came back to Ohio with her
children and married Ezekiel Clements on 11 Feb 1845 in Union Co., Ohio.
This was Ezekiel Clements' second marriage. He and Betsy also had
children together.
Some researchers have claimed that Caleb Jr. had a son named Amos but I
can find no proof of this. He doesn't appear in the 1850 census in
household of Ezekiel Clements and I've accounted for occurences of the
name Amos Orahood in census records and military records.

Note--there are many mistakes in this record. Henry and Amelia Clements
are children of Ezekiel and 1st wife (Mary Ogdon?). Anna (Hannah), John,
Aaron, and Sarah J. Arahood are children of Caleb Jr. and Betsy. Elmira
(Almira), George W., and Virginia are children of Betsy and Ezekiel and
should be Clements, not Arahood. I haven't yet figured out who Maria,
Horatio, Nancy, and Mary A. belong to. Possibly they were children of
Ezekiel and his 1st wife or another wife and should also be Clements.
