Pension File of Jane Temple Peasley. Franklin County, Ohio Marriage and
Death Records. Records of Laura Price Fields. John Adam Peasley served
in the Union Army as a Private in Company K, 187 Regiment Ohio Infantry.
He enlisted February 7, 1865 at Lima, Ohio and was mustered out at Camp
Bradford, Maryland on July 31, 1865. His occupation was listed as
Merchant. John Adam Peasley was married prior to Jane Temple. His first
wife was Rosanna French. She died in 1846 and was buried at Amity,
Madison County, Ohio. Jane Temple Peasley received a pension based on
her husband's military service. The pension payments commenced July 19,
1890 and continued until her death. John Adam Peasley according to the
pension file returned from the war with chronic diahrea that he
contracted while in service. He suffered with this until his death in
1879
