Catherine HANEY is well documented in 1850-1880 censuses.
1850 Anson, Morven Dist. enumerated August 22, 1850, Dweling #194,
Catherine 9/12 or born about November 1849. 1860 Union County,
NC, Lanes
Creek Dist., Dweling # 738, Catherine, age 11. 1870 Union County,
New
Salem Dist., Dweling #37, Catherine, age 19. 1880 Anson County, NC
still
living with parents, Catherine, age 30 with daughter Lilly, age 3.
Census
says "granddaughter of Holland" I have been unable to find any
further
record of Catherine or Lilly. Holland and Delilah were living
with their
2nd son, Richmon P. HANEY, in Statesville, NC on March 29, 1885 when
Delilah died. Perhaps Catherine was also there. Death Notice
in The
Landmark, Statesville, NC "Delilah HANEY died March 29, 1885,
Statesville, NC at the home of her son R. P. HANEY. Wife of Holland
HANEY." Would very much like to find Catherine and Lilly and
their
descendents.
