* Found family originally in Floyd Kentucky 1850. Determined that family arrived in North Carolina from age of first child born in Kentucky to be around 1832. This family was sometimes classified as M, sometimes W. Determined that an 1840 census (John More) in Floyd Kentucky matched the number of children John and Rachel Moore would have had at that time and 80 year old pensioner of Revolutionary War Sally in the home. This census is also documented in pensioners in Kentucky. (note the family was listed as w in this census). Found 1830 Rockingham census for John Sr. and John Jr. Moore. Families are listed in Free Colored persons and John Jr. family matches the probable ages of children and wife Rachael. John Sr.'s wife matches the age of Sally listed as receiving Revolutionary War pension in 1840 Floyd County Kentucky census.
