 Documentation: Thomas' birth comes from the State Census records as does
many of his children's births augmented by baptism records at St. Mary's
and St. John's in Oswego.  Death certificates for some of the children
also assist in providing information.  Thomas' naturalization records
give his birth in County Queens now  County Leix, Ireland.  Thomas' wife
Ellen is said to have died from lockjaw, but her death no long after her
last child may indicate complications after child birth.  Ellen's
obituary provides the date of death and exact age allowing for
calculation of  her birthdate.  His second wife is Catherine "Kitty" Dunn
who he married on teh 16 Feb 1881 and had issue by her. .
