Documentation:  1.  Source of information is "The History of the Hammond
Family", 1904.  William's maternal grandmother was Sarah HAMMOND.
2.  In the 1881 Canadian census Jennie gives her name as Sarah J., but
she was always known as Jennie.
3.  William was residing in Rouses Point, Clinton County, New York by
1892.  He also resided in Lansingburg, New York before moving to
Schenectady, New York.
4.  Merritt FERGUSON died in his 30's from a heart attack.
Nothing further is known of his widow.  There were no children.
5.  William remarried about 1915.  His second wife was Estella Ham of
Schenectady, New York.
