Documentation: 1850-1860-1870 US Census. Also a letter from James PIKE of Southwest Baptist College that states that John SLAGLE, Jr. was one of 7 brothers that came to MO in c. 1831. Mr. PIKE wrote this letter in 1935. Mr. PIKE was the Dean of the Southwest College in Boliver, MO. There is of record three land sales to John SLAGLE Jr. in Polk Co in 1848 and 1853.Also the Will of John SLAGLE, Jr. Book A., Pg 226, Polk Co. MO records. Will was proved 14 March 1874, and recorded 9 April 1874.
