BIRTH:
1. Obituary, unknown Gentry, AR newspaper. "Walter Tygart Obituary
(Including Letter From His Widow to Della Tygart) Mr. Walter Tygart, son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Tygart, was born at Aldrich, Missouri, March 6, 1882, and died at Gentry December 17, 1933.
He came to Gentry in the year 1920 and was married to Miss Bessie Lefors, September 7, 1921. Walter was a thrifty, hardworking man and maintained a happy home and married relation for these years. He was happily converted in early life and was baptised into the fellowship of the Mt. Zion Baptist church near Aldrich, Missouri, where his membership remained uintil his transfer to the “Church of the First Born in Heaven.”
Walter leaves his aged mother and two sisters, Mrs. Hagerman, of Aldrich, Missouri, and Mrs. Della Reed, of Santa Ana, California. Also his devoted wife, Mrs. Bessie Tygart, and many other relatives and friends.
He was somewhat active in the men’s Bible class where he did good service in helping to build their classroom, and encouraging the worthy objects of the class.
Well known Citizen Passed Away Sunday
Funeral services were held for Mr. Walter Tygart, who passed away at his home early Sunday morning, Monday afternoon at the Baptist church. Rev. J. W. English conducted the service. A quartet composed of Mr. Blake, Roger Cox, Everette Daily, and Maurice Lefors, sang, “Death is only a Dream” and “Sometime We’ll Understand.” A solo, “The Heavenly Land” was beautifully rendered by Maurice Lefors.
The body, surrounded by relatives and friends was tenderly laid to rest in the Gentry Cemetery by Pyeatte Undertakers. The newly made grave was covered by many beautiful flowers, the last gift of loved ones left to mourn his going. The pall bearers were: A. Brogdon, Buck Glass, J. R. Bever, Vol Wasson, Frank Hardcastle and Ral Steele. Among the out of town relatives who were present at the funeral were: Mrs. Anna Tygart, his mother; Mrs. Floyd Hagerman and son, Leon, Sister and nephew; and Mr. Martin Tygart, his cousin, all of Aldrich, Missouri.
Letter From Walter Tygart’s Widow
Mrs. Della Reed, and family Santa Ana, California
Dear Della; Haven’t heard from you in a long time, but suppose you are at the same address. Walter took sick Nov. 9 and passed away Nov. 17. He had the flu and Neuritis at the beginning, but later other complications set up and toward the last the doctor said the flu had settled in his kidneys causing uremic poisoning. We had two doctors and every thing was done that could be. Mother Tygart, Lillie, Leon and Martin came but did not get here before he died. I was so sorry they didn’t. But he did not live long after he took the turn for the worse. We had hopes for him until Saturday afternoon. When the doctor told us there was no chance, that he couldn’t live through the night. It just seems like I can’t give him up. I miss him so. From Bessie."
Clipping was in a scrapbook kept by Della Tygart (my grandmother) sister of the departed.

Roma L. Tygart
BIRTH:
1. Obituary from unknown Polk County, MO newspaper.
"In Memory of Roma Tygart
Roma Tygart, son of Thomas and Ann Tygart was born Nov. 26, 1894, and died near Aldrich, Mo., July 19, 1914. He was married to Miss Floy Kirby Sept. 11, 1912.
He professed faith in Christ, joined the Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church in 1909, and was a faithful member of that church until death. To know him was to love him. He leaves a wife, father, mother, two sisters, one brother and a host of friends to mourn his sudden death.
He said he was ready and willing to go and begged his relatives and friends to meet him. He told his papa he wanted him to live a better life and attend church more and be ready when Jesus called.
But he is no more, he has crossed the river of life, from whence no traveler returns. But we would say to those whose hearts are heavy, weep not, but prepare to meet him on that other shore, where there will be no more sorrow but rest, prefect rest. The funeral services were conducted by Bro. Henry Maxwell at the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery.".
