Letters
I, James L. Page, of the County of Howard, State of Missouri, being of
sound and disposing mind do make this my Last Will and in manner
following to wit.
1st My will is that the expenses of my last sickness and funeral
expenses be paid.
2nd I devise to my beloved wife Malinda all my estate Real and
Personal entire during her natural lifetime should she survive me.
3rd At the demise of my beloved wife, all the property Real and
Personal after the expenses of her last sickness and funeral are paid to
go as follows.
4th I give and devise all of my estate that may be left after the
above expenses are paid to my beloved daughter, Virginia Page, on the
following conditions.
That she pay to my daughter Ann Adams, the sum of two hundred dollars and
in case she should die before my beloved wife, then the said two hundred
dollars be equally divided between her daughters, Louisa Adams, Sallie
Adams and Martha Adams. Said two hundred dollars to be paid in the
expiration of two years without interest.
5th I devise that my daughter Virginia pay also to Eliza Naylor my
daughter and her heirs, the sum of Two Hundred Dollars at the expiration
of two years after said property comes into her hands without interest.
6th Having given my son John Page which is demised his full portion
when married, I do not desire that his heirs should get any more.
7th Having given my daughter Mary M. Means her portion in her
lifetime, I do not desire that her heirs shall have anything more out of
my estate.
Lastly I do appoint William Smith Executor of this my Last Will, which I
have hereunto affixed my name in presence of we whose names are
subscribed by his request as witnessed to the same and sealed this
twentieth day of March in the year of our Lord, one thousand eight
hundred and seventy nine.

Be it remembered that on this 18th day of January in the year of our
Lord, one thousand eight hundred and eighty two before me J. T, Smith,
Judge of the Probate Court held in and for the County of Howard and State
of Missouri personally appeared George H. Jordan and William McBee who
being duly sworn upon their oath depose and say that they were present
and saw James L. Page sign the foregoing instrument purporting to be the
last will and testament of him the said James L. Page and have him
publish and disclose the same to be his last will and testament, and that
at the time of signing the same the said James L. Page was of sound and
disposing mind and that the deponents subscribed their names in the
presence of the testator for and of each other and at the request of the
said James L. Page. (over)

Last Will and Testament of Malinda Page
I, Malinda Page of Howard County Missouri hereby make and publish this my
last will and testament.
1st I desire that all my just debts and funeral expenses be paid out of
my estate.
2nd To my Grand Son James Wright I give one 2 year old mule, 1- 3 year
old horse and one 2 year old mare, the increase of a mare given him by
his Grand Father Page.
3rd To my daughter Virginia Page I give one horse and buggy and one two
horse
wagon.
4th I hereby appoint my daughter Virginia Page executor of this my last
will and testament. Witness of my hand and seal this the 26th day of
April 1886

Be it remembered That on this the 12th day of September AD 1888 before me
Thos. R. Botts Judge of Probate Court held in and for the County and
State aforesaid formally appeared, William H Peeler and LW Robinson who
are the subscribing witnesses to the aforesaid will of Malinda Page,
deceased, and being by me first duly sworn, do for and say that the said
Malinda Page the testator subscribed the same by making her mark in the
presence and published and declared said instrument of writing to be her
last will and testament and that at the time of signing the same said
testator was of sound and disposing mind and more than twenty one years
of age and said deponent attested said will as witness thereto by
subscribing their names to the same in the presence of the testator and
of each other and at the request of said testator.
