Documentation:
* Adolph and Ida were farmers in West Concord, Minnesota. On May 15, 1942 Lloyd enlisted in the Army Air Corps. He left for service overseas on March 8, 1944, and saw service as a Bombardier in aerial combat over Europe. He completed 35 missions with the 8th Air Force in England. Lloyd returned to Midland Army Air Field as a Bonbardier Instructor. On June 27, 1947 Lloyd re-enlisted as a Master Sergeant. On July 14, 1949, Lloyd was killed when the C-82 he was flying in crashed at Wright-Patterson Field in Dayton, Ohio.
