George "Ad" Dewey, as he was known, and Evelyn were divorced about 1936. He
reportedly had an illegitimate daughter in Michigan prior to moving to Oregon,
graduating from college and marrying Evelyn. He was a well-known college athlete
at Oregon Agric. College (Oregon State)in football, basketball, and track. Later
a coach in Portland, OR, Fargo, ND, and Palo Alto, CA. Won amateur senior golf
awards and sang in light opera in the Palo Alto Players. Sources: death
