NOTES: The old Briggs diary says, "Nathaniel Babbitt died suddenly, on the road,
December 6, 1787." SPOONER, Bigford of Acushnet. Capt. Samuel Reed's company,
which "marched to the Jerseys" in 1776. He was also in Capt. B. Woodbury's
company.
