Documentation: William Ephraim Daniel DOWNES wrote an article titled
'Thomas Downes of Dover, N.H., and His Decendants' that is used for much
of the reference material for my DOWNS genealogy. The article appeared in
July 1909 in the New England Register, Volume 90, pages 192 & 193.
William graduated from Harvard University with high honors in 1891. In
1899, he received his Doctor of Philosophy at Boston University.
