NOTES: 
William H. Piles: 
Some researchers give  William H. Piles as WILLIAM HENDERSON PILES.   In the 
family records that William H. kept he called himself William H.  In his Will he 
called himself William H.   I have in my file that the father of Wm. H. Piles is 
HENRY HUMPHREY PILES.  From the Register of St. John's Parish, in Prince 
George's Co., HENRY HUMPHREY PILES is listed as a child of Francis Pyle and 
Dorothy Lanham.  So is it not possible that the "H" in Wm. H. Piles name could 
stand for HUMPHREY?  
 
Anne Richards Jones: 
Some researchers pass on the name of  ANNE RICHARDS JONES for the wife of 
William H. Piles. One source for ANNE RICHARDS JONES is the Marriages, Prince 
George's County, Maryland, 1777 to 1886.  But.... this is what info it give 
also, which is interesting.

JONES, Anne Richards & Richard Piles 1-27-1806 and 
PILES, Richard & Anne Richards Jones 1-27-1806 
Can anyone explain the above info?  Who is RICHARD PILES? NOT EVEN CLOSE TO THE 
NAME WILLIAM, SO IT'S NOT A TYPO ERROR.  AND IT WAS POSTED TWICE IN THE SAME 
MANNER.  ANY THOUGHTS???

And as of Sep 2003 I have not been able to place Anne Richards Jones in any of 
the Jones family of Prince George's Co., MD.
