SOURCES: 1790 Census 1800 Census 1810 Census 1820 Census 1830 Census 1840 Census 1850 Census 1860 Census 1870 Census 1880 Census 1900 Census Will/Bond Information Marriage License Records Death Certificate Obituary ........................................................................... NOTES: It appears that between 1820 and 1830 Thomas loses his first wife and marries Emma/Amy. I have copied info. From the 1790-1840 censuses regarding all of the MILLS in the Indian Springs area and put it into a table format by ages. Thomas first appears on the 1810 census and there is a female in his age group (1785-1794), the same with the 1820 census; however, in 1830 there is no female in Thomas’ age group, but there is a female born 1801-1810 (which would fit the profile to be Amy/Emma). The Lavina that is listed on the 1850 Census is NOT Thomas’ daughter, she is his Daughter-In-Law (Eli’s Wife). This information was deducted using the 1860 census. For further information, see the family group sheet for Eli MILLS.
