* Thomas Scott died in 1739 per Prerogative Court Thomas Scott, Pr. Geo 28 Nov 1739 Next of Kin; William Scott Admix. Elizabeth Scott.--- Elizabeth Prather daughter of John Prather and Catherine.
* 1733 Eastern Branch Hundred Taxable by Archibald Edmondson, Constable George Moore, Thomas Scott, Richard Isaac, Richard Jones, William Prather, William Hall.
* On 30 June 1737 John Prather, Jr., took out an administration bond as administrator of the estate of Catherine Prather, with Thomas Scott and Edward Prather as his securities (Maryland Prerogative Court Testamentary Proceedings 30:301).
* Thomas Lucas, Jr also owned a tract called Grange in Prince Geo Co., with John Prather and his wife Catherine and on June 23 1725 these three applied in the courts to have this land re-surveyed to establish the correct boundary lines given to Col. Henry Jowles see Lib 1 Folio 676 it lies on the north side of the eastern branch of the Potomac river near the tract of Hopey yard and Hopes Addition, all three originally in Charles Co. later part of Prince George Co. after 1686. On the resurvey the following people were called to testisty to establish the boundary lines of Grange. * Thomas Scott died prior to 27 June 1739 when Elizabeth Scott, widow, took out an administration bond as administratrix of his estate, with Samuel Waters and William Elderburton as securities (Prerog. Testamentary Proceedings 31:40). The inventory of the estate of Thomas Scott, taken on 8 November 1739, totaled £121.10.7, and was approved by William Scott, nearest of kin (Prerog. Inventories 24:295).
* Elizabeth Scott, widow and administratrix of Thomas Scott, married William Hall prior to May 1769, when, at the request of Zachariah Scott, the Prerogative Court issued a citation to Hall to show cause why he does not account with the representatives of Thomas Scott for the amount of Scott's inventory which came to his hands by virtue of his marriage with the administratrix (Prerog. Testamentary Proceedings 43:251).
* 15 Jul 1729; Deposition of Thomas Scott, age ca 26; mentions his father, tobacco house and William Scott Enrolled 29 Aug 1729 Thomas Scott bought Girl's Portion Addition 100 acres 1725 On 10 October 1715 a tract of land was surveyed for Mary Scott, daughter of William Scott of Prince George's County, called "The Girls Portion", containing 100 acres, located on the east side of Piney Branch of the Eastern Branch of Potomac River in Prince George's County (Maryland Land Office, Patented Certificate #924, Prince George's County).
* On 8 May 1725 the tract "Addition to The Girls Portion" was surveyed for Thomas Scott, located adjacent to "The Girls Portion" and containing 100 acres (Maryland Land Office, Patented Certificate #124, Prince George's County).
* On 2 April 1757 a land commission was issued on the petition of Samuel Scott to prove the boundaries of the tract "The Girls Portion".
* On 8 October 1757 the land commission took a deposition from William Hall, aged about 41 years (Prince George's Co. Land Records, Liber PP, f.104).
* On 15 December 1763 Samuel Scott of Prince George's Co., millwright, leased to Thomas Finch, planter, the tracts "The Girls Portion" and "Addition to the Girls Portion," containing together 200 acres, for 15 years, provided that Finch builds a tobacco house of 40 by 22 feet and pays an annual rent of 450 pounds of tobacco (Prince George's Co. Land Records, Liber TT, f. 319).
* On 3 June 1766 Samuel Scott of Anne Arundel Co., millwright, sold to William Scott of Prince George's Co., for £150 all his interest in two tracts, "The Girls Portion," 100 acres, and "Addition to the Girls Portion," 100 acres, both located on the east side of Piney Branch in Prince George's County (Prince George's Co. Land Records, Liber TT, f. 563).
