* Information from Granddaughter Shirley Middleton Moller smoller@jps.net.
Notes:
* Lillian May "Lillie May" Lanham: My Great Grandmother Lillian May did not attend the Bell Methodist Church, I do know that the Boone/Middleton family she married into was Catholic. Due to an illness Lillie May placed two of her children in Catholic Orphanages, I know that her son, my Grandfather Vivian Theodore "Teddy" Middleton was a devout Catholic. Lillie May lived her whole life in Seat Pleasant, MD.
* Vivian "Vive" Marion Middleton: Occupation: farmer, carpenter. Burial: Mt. Olivet Cem., Washington, D.C., source Vivian Theodore Middleton, son of Vivian Marion Middleton.
* After the death of Vivian's father Raphael A. Middleton in 1864, his mother Emily Boone Middleton sold the tract called HOLLY CUT, and returned to live with her family in the Boone family home. In the 1870 Charles Co., census, she and her son Vivian are living in the Boone home with Emily's father Edward D. Boone, her brother Richard, her sister Mary Francis and her son Vivian, and a domestic servant named Jane Baker. Emily lived there until she married J. Marine Burch, in Apr 1874. But according to the Richard G. Boone in his book A CENTURY WITH SOME OF THE BOONES OF BEANTOWN AND WILTSHIRE PLAINS 1840-1940, her son Vivian contiuned to live at the Boone family home until he became old enough to inherit his share of his father's estate. It seems that since Vivian was only about 2 years of age when his father died, his uncle Richard A. Boone took over and became his father. Again from the Richard G. Boone book, "Vivian was the only child at the old home for many years, and so as such, must have been a world of comfort to so many grown folks. I can never forget of the endearment conveyed by Father whenever he mentioned the name of "Vive". I also recall only to well of many conversations by Father in later years - that had to do with when "Vive" lived on the farm. Vivian had a very warm place in Father's heart, and any son could well be proud of a father who loved him as Father loved Vivian."

ii. Lee Middleton, b 21 Oct 1891; d about 1910 drowned in the Potomac River source for children: THE MIDDLETONS and KINDRED FAMILIES of SOUTHERN MARYLAND, DANIEL BOONE LLOYD, 1975.

Vivian "Teddy" Theodore Middleton:
* Teddy's father died in 1908 leaving his mother with 5 small children. Vivian "Teddy" told his daughter that after the death of his father, his mother became ill and she couldn't care her children. So she placed 3 of her children with family members, and her daughter Mary Teresa she placed in one orphanage and her son Teddy she placed into a Catholic Orphanage in Baltimore, called St. Mary's Industrial School. Another boy that was in the orphanage at the same time as Teddy, was George Herman Ruth, Jr., better known as "Babe Ruth".
* Religion: Catholic
* Occupation: Florist, V.T. had a florist shop in Rising Sun, Maryland
* He was also an excellent carpenter, a trait handed down through the BOONE FAMILY. According to family memoirs, V.T. built all of his greenhouses for his business. He built a home for his mother and her unmarried daughter to live in.
