Uncle Grant as he was called by family, has told me about my Great Great Grandfather Raphael A. Middleton, and his son my Great Grandfather Vivian Marion Middleton. If Uncle Grant hadn't felt that it was important to put family genealogy down on paper for the next generation I would never have known anything about my ancestors. NOTES: Richard Alexander Middleton: Edward Dominick Boone father of Richard Alexander Boone in his will dated 12 Feb 1889; devised to his son Richard all his real property and all his personal property. Richard Grantley Boone in his book A CENTURY WITH SOME OF THE BOONES OF BEANTOWN AND WILTSHIRE PLAINS 1840-1940, states his father Richard Alexander Boone seems to have taken over the role of father to his nephew Vivian Marion Middleton, who was only 2 years old when his father Raphael A. Middleton died. Vivian is the son of Richard A. Boone's sister Emily Teresa Boone Middleton. He says that Uncle Richard A. Boone was always there when Vivian needed help, and that Uncle Richard A. Boone cared for his nephew Vivian as a father does for a son. From the book of Richard G. Boone: Vivian was the only child at the old home for many years, and so as such, must have been a world of comfort to so many grown folks. I can never forget of the endearment conveyed by Father whenever he mentioned the name of "Vive". I also recall only to well of many conversations by Father in later years - that had to do with when "Vive" lived on the farm. Vivian had a very warm place in Father's heart, and any son could well be proud of a father who loved him as Father loved Vivian. Alice Victoria Burch: She died at home with all of her family around her. Source: her son Richard Grantley Boone
