 B, 4th LA Battalion 4 Jun 1861, Monroe, LA.  John C. MCCLENDON enlisted as 
a Private Co., E, 17th Infantry Regt.  He was paroled at Monroe, Ouachita Parish, 
LA 1865.  Lived Ouachita Parish, LA.  I have seen in a couple of books that Sarah 
Louise MCCLENDON and Matthew AVERETT, Jr., married in Pike Co., GA.  As 
neither family lived in GA during 1850, I believe they married in AL.
